About our Prevention Programs
• All About Safety is designed to educate preschool and primary school children on Body Safety, themes covered are body signals, safe networks, consent and body boundaries, and cyber safety with an emphasis on preventing sexual abuse.
• Crossroads is an 8-week secondary school program that supports a small group of students to foster respectful relationships. Crossroads includes sessions on affirmative consent and critical exploration of media and algorithms, supporting students to make respectful and informed decisions.
• Our Sexual Abuse Counselling and Prevention Program (SACPP) is a specialist therapeutic counselling service for children and young people who have been victims of sexual abuse, and/or engaged in problematic or harmful sexualised behaviour.
• School staff sessions can run alongside school programs. They are designed to respond to staff needs by educating on topics such as protective behaviours, age-appropriate sexual behaviour and responding to disclosures or behaviours of concern.
• Schools can opt for a whole-of school approach, where a student prevention program is delivered alongside teacher sessions and parent sessions, or programs for specific groups or year levels.
• Bespoke programs can be adapted to best suit your organisation's unique needs.
Benefits of Prevention Programs
We understand that sexual abuse and problematic or harmful sexualised behaviours impacts on children, young people and their families/carers, as well as the wider community. We consider the age and stage of development of the child and/or young person when selecting or creating prevention programs to suit.
Our prevention programs support primary and secondary school-aged children – and the adults who support them – with the skills to identify difficult or unsafe situations. Promoting resilience while empowering children and young people, we teach strategies and skills for clear communication and awareness of 'safe' behaviours.
