Families and Children

Child Protection

You should make a report to Child Protection if you have formed a reasonable belief that a child has suffered or is likely to suffer significant harm as a result of abuse or neglect and their parent has not or is unlikely to protect them from harm of that type.

Parentline

Parentline is a statewide telephone counselling and support service for all Victorian parents and carers of children from 0-18 years.
Experienced social workers, psychologists and family therapists can give you counselling and information around a wide range of parenting issues.

About Our Centre

Kids First is proudly operating three and four-year-old kindergarten at Ganbu Gulinj.

With Kids First’s experience in providing child and family services, and research that shows the effectiveness of our Early Years Education Program, you can be assured that your child will be immersed in a rich and supportive learning experience. Our Korin Korin Child & Family Centre is rated at ‘Exceeding’ level overall in relation to the National Quality Framework for kindergartens. We look forward to delivering the same standard of education at Ganbu Gulinj.

We found that our child needed lots of encouragement to to participate in anything before she started attending Ganbu Gulinj. Now she has found so much trust in the educators she doesn't need as much encouragement. Thank you so much!! It is really an exciting start for our little girl!

Eligibility

For four year olds, your child must turn 4 by April 30 in the year of attendance. If your child was born between January and April you can choose which year to enrol your child, including the year the child is eligible or the year after

For three year olds, children must turn 3 by 30 April in the year they commence, however a parent will be required to stay with the child until they turn three years old.
