Circle of Security is a free parenting program, designed to helps parents to understand their child’s behaviour and to build and strengthen a secure relationship with their child. It includes specific programs like Dads Circle of Security, tailored to support fathers in building strong and secure bonds with their children.
Decades of university-based research has confirmed that secure children are more empathetic, have greater self-esteem, cultivate better relationships with parents and peers, are better prepared for school, and are more emotionally resilient.
You'll learn:
• Ways to enhance the development of your child's self-esteem, trust and sense of security
• How to help your child feel comfortable to explore their world, knowing there is a safe haven to return to.
• Strategies to build confidence as a parent, so that you can enjoy parenting and take on new challenges along the way.
Eligibility
Circle of Security, including Dads Circle of Security, is open to parents of children up to 5 years of age, living in the north-east of Melbourne.
