Watch Maddy D’Angelo, SA Operational Lead share her reflections on why inclusivity and visible representation matter at Kids First, and how feeling safe, seen and respected influences the way we support one another and show up for our communities.
At Kids First, inclusion is not a standalone initiative. It is shaped by the environments we create, the way we listen to one another and the actions we continue to take to ensure people feel welcomed, respected and valued.
This work continues to be guided by members of the Kids First LGBTIQ+ Inclusive Practice Working Group and Diversity & Inclusion Committee whose leadership, advocacy and commitment continue to strengthen inclusion across our organisation.
If this raises anything for you or someone you know, support is available. Kids First employees, volunteers and students can access AccessEAP, including the dedicated Kids First LGBTIQ+ support line on 1300 349 950. If you are outside of Kids First, we encourage you to connect with local support services, community organisations or trusted networks within your community.
