About Our Centre

Korin Korin Child and Family Centre is a sessional kindergarten that Kids First proudly operates.

The Centre uniquely applies many best practice elements derived from Kids First specialised and targeted Early Years Education Program. These include enhanced educator training, preschool mental health consults and integrated support services for families.

Accredited Early Years Manager

Kids First is recognised by the Department of Education and Training as an accredited Early Years Manager. This means we are recognised for our expertise in the delivery of high quality early childhood education and care services.

The Kinder Tick

This kinder has the Kinder Tick as we are an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means your child is taking part in an evidence-informed, play-based learning program that meets government guidelines.

Excursions

Korin Korin promotes community engagement through excursions. By getting out and about the children are able to become familiar with important spaces within their community. Korin Korin's excursions help the children build identity and connection to their environment

Incursions

Korin Korin provides interest based and cultural experiences. The incursions are developed through the yearly calendar of events that is provided at the beginning of term one.

The EYEP is an Australian-first randomised control trial, co-designed with early childhood experts and Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

Eligibility

For four year olds, your child must turn 4 by April 30 in the year of attendance. If your child was born between January and April you can choose which year to enrol your child, including the year the child is eligible or the year after. For three year olds, children must turn 3 by 30 April in the year they commence, however a parent will be required to stay with the child until they turn three years old.
