Caring Dads facilitator training led by Kids First

This training event is an opportunity to join the leading, international network of clinicians working at the nexus of gender-based violence and fatherhood. Kids First's Caring Dads Statewide Coordinator, Monique Yeoman, will deliver the training on October 7 and 8, at the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare in Melbourne.

Who should attend?

Caring Dads Facilitator training is appropriate for any professional interested in working with fathers (including biological, step, or common-law fathers) who have who have physically abused, emotionally abused or neglected their children, or exposed their children to domestic violence, or who are deemed to be at high-risk for these behaviors.

Training attendees commonly include intervention program group leaders, child protection workers, counsellors working within child and family mental health services, victim survivor advocates and their supervisors and managers.

Caring Dads is a 17 week family violence group-work intervention program for fathers who have neglected, physically or emotionally abused, or exposed their children to family violence.
