Chipping in for Charity

April 2, 2019

The 6th Annual Kieser Charity Golf Day was held last Friday at Yarra Yarra Golf Club.

An early tee-off didn't deter what was a record number of participants.  And once the sun shine broke through the majestic course was bathed in stunning Autumn sunshine.

Nearly 32 groups participated in the fun (and forgiving) Gentsome format where teammates play individual stableford from the best drive with the two best scores recorded for each hole.

The 'Get on the Green' hole proved popular.  Players paid $10 to be in a draw to win half the prize pool provided they land on the 'dance floor' of the course's trickiest par 3 (a feat managed by a quarter of the field). Winner Rob epitomized the spirit of the day by graciously donating back some of his considerable winnings.

Further funds were also raised via players buying 'mulligans', a raffle, plus the big auction held at lunchtime. Kids First Chief Executive Officer Aileen Ashford shared insights into the Caring Dads program, including what the program has done for fathers, and quotes from Dads who have been through the program and seen positive change within themselves and how they interact with their children.

Kids First sincerely thanks Kieser, Lakeside Financial, Pearce Webster Dugdales, Vida Lifestyles, Eziway Salary Packaging, Alliance Promotions, Kwik Copy Fitzroy, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Maurice Blackburn Lawyers, Marriner Group, Pixo, 3AW Breakfast with Ross & John, Steph, Jill, Leonie McNicol, Jeanette Finegan for their tremendous support and work in helping organise the event.
