At this year’s Rotary Club of Preston’s annual fundraising presentation, the Children’s Protection Society (CPS) was the recipient of a generous donation of $10,000 dollars by President Julie Morris. This now takes the total funds raised and donated by the Club to CPS to over a quarter of a million dollars.
CPS CEO Aileen Ashford said, “The Children’s Protection Society wholeheartedly thanks the Rotary Club of Preston for their ongoing support and belief in the work of our organisation. We are very pleased to have had their support for over 22 years.
The $10,000 donation will assist us to continue ground-breaking programs and support for vulnerable children and families seeking to overcome complex issues of sexual abuse, neglect, family violence, trauma, mental health and drug and alcohol problems.
We cannot do this work alone and it is made possible by our key supporters who provide us with much-needed funds to ensure that we can continue to make a difference in children’s lives. It is this support that encourages and inspire us in the challenging yet highly rewarding work we undertake every day.”
